Psalm 15
If ever there was a chapter that made me thankful for salvation from grace it's this one. Without grace, the only one's permitted entrance into the Kingdom are those who able to completely follow the Law. Even though Father loves His Son very much, it'd get pretty lonely in heaven with just them and the Spirit in Heaven. Because, as this Psalm shows, we all fall short of the glory of God.
Without grace, to enter heaven you must be:
1. Completely blameless,innocent of wrongdoing
2. Continually righteous, perfectly wonderful
3. Always without intent to deceive including ever making false or damaging statements about anyone
4. Devoid of Wrongdoing = 1, 2, 3, 5,6, 7, 8
5. Never using words about someone that may insult them or damage their reputation
6. Hateful of the wicked; always
7. Always Keeping Your Oath
8. Generous and Not Covetous
I scored 8 out of 8!!! Isn't that great! I mean, horrible. This simply shows that I am a fallen man living in a fallen world and it absolutely, without a doubt, shows that more than anything, I need, I mean NEED my Savior.
We all need Him because we all struggle with those quantifiers in the list. Always, never, continually. Oy. I don't know if I can make it a full day keeping that list. But Christ made it a lifetime. In fact, Christ gave up His life, so that we can find ours. So that we can wear His righteousness and enter into the Kingdom.
2nd Corinthians 5:21 ~ For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of
God in Him.
1 Peter 2:22 ~ He committed no sin, and no deceit was found in his mouth.
